 Le verbe de la semaine:

apprendre

This week's dictée

We are going to challenge ourselves to write out sentences as part of our dictée this week.  I will be dictating the above paragraph about Neil Armstrong.  Students can choose to practice writing 3 of the sentences of their choice.  I believe it is good practice for students to write out words in the context of full sentences while becoming more aware of correct grammar usage in their writing.  Bonne chance mes élèves!

We will continue to explore -re verbs this week.  This week's verb - apprendre - is very similar to prendre in how it is conjugated in the present tense.  Apps like La conjugaison (for iPad and iPhone) are useful in practicing conjugation of verbs in French.  If you have an Android device, try the French Verbs app.

Les portefeuilles

Students are preparing their portfolios. As they work on reflecting upon their learning in term 2, I have been asking them to consider adding samples of their work of which they were proud and also work that they felt they could improve upon.
Une bonne semaine!
