Goodnight Moon - Free Printable Activities

"Goodnight Moon" by Margaret Wise Brown has been a family favorite since my first daughter was born.  Our book is nicely worn from having been read and looked at over the past years.  If you do not have a copy of this book, I would highly recommend it for young English language learners.

I have created some activities to support further learning with this rhyming story.  Below are links to the documents you can download and print for your own use.  I included a document of word cards, comprised of words from "Goodnight Moon".  I will be cutting them out and attaching them to the cover picture of Goodnight Moon (on the document) with a paper clip.  They will be kept in our Word Card Bin, where I store word card sets for stories we have been reading.  They are great for having children review words they have seen in stories and to work on sounding them out.  In this case, we will also be using them to match rhyming words.

Would you like to preview the story or share it with a student to view?  You can watch it at this safe link:  http://safeshare.tv/w/VvuBdEQGgK

Sapo Sapo Sapo

My daughters love singing this song in Portuguese.  Below you can also find the lyrics to this children's song.

Em Português:

Minhas filhas amam cantar esta canção em Português. Debaixo também pode encontrar a letra de música .

Letra

Sapo, sapo, sapo
À beira do rio
Quando o sapo canta
É porque tem frio

A dona sapinha
Deve estar lá dentro
A fazer rendinhas
Para o casamento

Ao passar a ponte
A ponte tremeu
Coitado do sapo
Jacaré comeu
Jacaré comeu.

Citation de la semaine:

"Advienne que pourra" (Come What May)
